After their first summer at The Pilot Boat Inn, Wight Knuckle Brewery tell News OnTheWight that they’ll be taking over the full management of pub in Bembridge.
Co-founder of Wight Knuckle Brewery, Ed Bristow, explains,
“We’re delighted to confirm we’ll be running a full tap room and pizzeria from 15th December onwards.
“We’ll be producing a range of high quality pizzas using as many local ingredients as possible, which will be served alongside a range of six different Wight Knuckle Craft Beers. You will also be able to take our pizzas away to enjoy at home.”
What is Wight Knuckle?
Wight Knuckle Brewery Ltd was founded in 2021 by George, Edward and Fergus Bristow. The Bristow family say they have a real passion for all things Isle of Wight, with their roots on the Island going back 200 years.
The idea to launch the brewery was formed after a Boxing Day discussion about the lack of pale ale craft beer breweries on the Island; so they decided to solve that with Wight Knuckle.
Ed told News OnTheWight,
“We believe there is no reason for Islanders and visitors to drink bland European lagers, when we can produce delicious beer, made in an environmentally sustainable way, using local ingredients right here on the Island.”
