Platform One Announce new industry partnership – getting students’ music in front of a global audience

Platform One College of Music have announced a new partnership with music distribution and label service Ditto Music.

Ditto Music is an award winning global distribution company that helps independent artists and labels release unlimited music to over 160 digital stores including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon.

With 22 offices across 19 countries and over 750,000 artists, Ditto have a wealth of experience to support students with their aspirations of releasing music professionally.

Wilce: The tools and confidence to kickstart their music careers
Sam Wilce, Content Operations for Label Services and Sub Clients, visited Platform One to launch the partnership and talk students through the process of preparing, submitting and releasing their music with Ditto.

“I’m really pleased to be working with Platform One and doing what we can in terms of giving students the tools and confidence to kickstart their music careers.

“Getting their music out to the world is a big part of our work at Ditto, as is supporting the next generation of musicians coming through education.”

Booth: A chance to get their music in front of a global audience
Andy Booth, the Music Industry Liaison for Platform One, reiterated the importance of developing these industry relationships.

“It is vital that we maintain and continue to develop links with the creative industries.

“The partnership with Ditto is extremely exciting for the students at Platform One, it gives them the chance to get their music in front of a global audience while having direct support from Sam and the team.”

Inside The Industry conference
Platform One will soon be releasing information on the next Inside The Industry conference, which was seen as a great success last April.

Andy says,

“Our aim is ensure that both students and the wider community can benefit from engaging with the industry.

“Our event last year was very well received by guests, students and the community and we are currently planning the next instalment to feature in the coming months.”
