Police are appealing for witnesses as an investigation into reports of criminal damage to parked cars continues in Freshwater on the Isle of Wight.

Officers were called shortly after midnight on the morning of Sunday, September 19, 2010 to an area known locally as the chalk pit near Farringford Farm.

Upon arrival, police spoke with a group of approximately 20 teenagers and young men who appeared to have been drinking.

Damage to windows and cars in Avenue Road was also reported to police.
