The incident occurred close to Sports Direct by Newport Bus Station sometime between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Monday, November 25.
A boy aged 14 was allegedly assaulted and placed into a vehicle.
He did not need medical attention after the assault.
Two arrested
A 28-year-old man and 19-year-old woman of no fixed abode were both charged on Monday December 9, 2013 with kidnapping and being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.
Investigating officer, DC katy Lee said:
“We are keen to talk to a man driving a blue vehicle who had spoken to the boy to see if he was OK at the time.
“If anyone saw or heard anything related to this incident please contact Police on 101.”
Investigation continues
A police investigation is continuing into the circumstances surrounding the incident, which is believed to be isolated and is not considered to be a risk to the wider public.
