Police searching for missing Isle of Wight woman make further appeal.
Police appealing for help to trace a woman missing from her home in the Brighstone area on the Isle of Wight have issued a further appeal for anyone who used the High Down Chalk Pit car park near Totland yesterday (Saturday, May 24) to make contact.
67-year-old Patricia Anne Tolfree was last seen by her husband at around 8.30 am on Saturday, May 24. She was planning to go to the mainland to visit friends in Winchester for the day but did not return home in the evening.
Mrs Tolfree’s vehicle, a blue 57 registration Volkswagen Polo was located at the High Down Chalk pit car park and officers are trying to find out when the vehicle may have arrived at the car park.
There is increased concern for her welfare as it is unusual for Mrs Tolfree not to be in contact with her family.
Anyone with information about Mrs Tolfree’s whereabouts or who parked in the High Down Chalk Pit car park on Saturday should contact the duty sergeant at Newport police station on 101. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
