Police seek witnesses after serious two-car collision near Calbourne

Isle of Wight Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision near Calbourne.
 
Police were called at 10.38am on Friday 16th August to a report of a collision on the Middle Road B3041, near the junction with Pump Lane.
 
This involved a black Seat Ateca and a blue Honda Jazz.
 
The driver of the Seat, a 27-year-old man, suffered minor injuries. The passengers of the Seat, all female and aged 29, 8 and 6, also suffered minor injuries.
 
Serious injuries
The driver of the Honda, a 37-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and is being treated in hospital
 
A six-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Honda also suffered serious injuries and has also been taken to hospital for treatment.
 
The other passenger, a four-year-old boy, suffered minor injuries.
 
Appeal for information
We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this collision or either vehicle in the moments before the collision.
 
In particular we would like to speak to anyone with relevant dash cam footage.
