The retiring collection from St. John’s Church, Sandown last Saturday (11 Sept) realised £700 which, after deducting a few minor costs, will go to help the Isle of Wight Society for the Blind.
With a very welcoming and enthusiastic audience of well over 300 the evening was a wonderful success.
A DVD of the entire concert which featured the Polperro Fishermen’s Choir, Island Edition (ladies barbershop quartet) and Newchurch MVC can be ordered by telephoning (01983) 872449.
The cost for the DVD is £10 each. Monies from the DVD sales will also be passed on to the Society.
