Did you get flowers this morning?
As it’s Black Friday and with it lots of commercial pressure, The Pop Up Soup kitchen decided to cheer some Island residents up!
At dawn the wind was freezing this morning, so we implemented our “Breakfast in Bed” service to those not able to use the Shelter, and whilst taking fresh coffee and bacon rolls we randomly placed bunches of flowers around the Island with the Message “Enjoy these flowers. They’re free courtesy of The Pop Up Soup Kitchen and Tesco Ryde”.
The flowers were given to us as part of our waste food contract at Tesco.
Mark Penny and I made the decision to “Cheer a few people up late last night”.
