Just heard on the news that Key Stage 1 results for Primary Schools on the Island are at least 3% higher than the UK average. This is wonderful news, well done to all the teachers and students who worked so hard to achieve these results.
Unfortunately, it was not such good news for GCSE and A-Level results, as they are still struggling to catch up to the national averages. With a daughter just about to start in Year 2, I very much hope that the Middle and High Schools will have matched the success of Primary Schools by the time she moves up.
Couldn’t go without dropping in that it’s also reported that girls are still performing better than boys ;-)
