Tesco petrol station in Ryde is currently out of E5 petrol due to a problem with their holding tank.
The good news is that it they say it should be resolved by Tuesday (next week) and there are plenty of other places on the Island you can get E5 petrol.
Why E5 petrol?
If you have a vehicle that is built before 2012, you may choose to only use E5 petrol, as E10 petrol is not compatible with many older models.
We mention the issue because many Islanders are still telling us that they had no idea about the difference between E5 and E10 fuel, and others have written asking where they can get E5 petrol on the Isle of Wight.
Issue expected to be resolved
News OnTheWight got in touch with Tesco to find out more about the issue.
A Tesco spokesperson said,
“We are currently working to resolve an issue with our E5 petrol tank at our Ryde Extra Petrol Filling Station and expect the issue to be resolved by Tuesday next week.
“We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused to our customers.”
