News shared by Sarah on behalf of Michael Lilley, the Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary candidate. Ed
The vast majority of voters will make their choice at the ballot box on Election Day. It is clear there has been limited involvement in local polling and hustings and so their results cannot be held as being representative of the greater majority of some 56,000 electorate in Isle of Wight East.
In the last two Isle of Wight council by-elections in Isle of Wight East, the Lib Dems have attracted more votes at the ballot box than any other Party:
- Lib Dems 37%
- Conservatives 34%
- Labour 15%
- Others 11%
- Green 3%
Conservative Government has failed the Island
The Conservative Government over the past fourteen years has failed the UK and the Island.
We need change, but more importantly we need a local MP that can bring everyone together and strongly advocate for Isle of Wight East.
I am the candidate with the most experience in Isle of Wight government, local businesses, community organisations and support, with a proven track record of working with others and acting on behalf of the residents and businesses of Isle of Wight East.
A positive voice for change in Westminster
If elected to be your MP, I will be a positive voice for change in Westminster and will always keep the Island community at the forefront of my priorities.
