The day before a public meeting to discuss the proposed bio-mass power station in Stag Lane takes place, the CP reports that engineers have given the go ahead to Real Ventures Ltd for construction on the land.
As readers may remember, Real Ventures Ltd, the current preferred bidder for the site, were given a 15-month extension to this status in order to carry out further surveys of the site.
Now the site has been given the ‘all clear’ by engineers, a planning application is expected to be lodged with the Isle of Wight council shortly.
Public meeting
The public meeting, being held tomorrow night (7pm at the Riverside Centre), will hear from concerned residents as well as Ian Lander from Biofuelwatch.
All are welcome to attend. Free entry.
