A planning application for change of use from retail to hot food takeaway is open to public consultation.
A chicken shop called Sui Generis (which means ‘unique’ or ‘in a class by itself’) is planned for 79 (Upper) St James’s Street.
The vacant retail unit was previously home to Island Photo Centre, which had been located at the address for 32 years.
No structural changes are being proposed, but the door on the frontage will be moved from the right hand side of the premises to the centre.
Proposed opening times are 8am to 10pm Monday-Friday and 8am to 11pm Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
