Public meeting: Three week High Street closure for Wightfibre installation

As Ventnor residents will be aware, Wightfibre have been working their way through the town over the last few weeks, installing optical fibre.

From 1st March the Isle of Wight broadband company will start working on the High Street.

This will result in a three-week hard closure of the High Street, leading to diversions for all traffic and pedestrian access only.

Public meeting
A public meeting will be held on Tuesday 1st February from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at St Catherine’s Church.

This meeting is intended to share information and allow for discussion of the many issues the closure will raise for residents and traders.

If you know someone who will be affected, tell them about the meeting.

Further questions
News OnTheWight has put a series of questions to WightFibre about the closure and will update once we hear back.
