The theme for this years Summer Open Exhibition at Quay Arts is ‘Push The Boat Out’.
Quay Arts are hoping to bring together works from artists all over the Island. We certainly have our fair share of excellent marine artists, so the quality of work in the exhibition should be high.
They invite all artists, photographers and image makers alike to exhibit and sell new work at the exhibition which runs from Wednesday 18 July to Saturday 8 September.
Whether you are a professional or amateur, Quay Arts are keen to display contemporary work alongside the traditional. There is no size restriction and all submissions must be 2D and framed to a high standard – unframed canvases will also be accepted.
If you want to take part, you’ll need to drop off your work up to 2 works on July 16th and 17th (no exceptions!) between 10am and 4pm. You will be notified by letter if your work hasn’t been selected.
It’ll only cost you a fiver to enter and there’s a drinks reception on Thursday 9 August between 6 – 8pm where you can get to meet other exhibitors and potential buyers.
This is the first of their monthly gallery evenings, when the space will be buzzing with live music, and you can get a drink from the bar whilst checking out the galleries.
