Last weekend the Steam Punkt Music Weekend took FuBar in Ryde by storm. It showcased an incredible lineup of talent to raise funds for Men Only IW, a local community group supporting men across the Isle of Wight.
Seventeen acts graced the stage over the two days, including individual artists, bands, and the captivating La Tease Burlesque troupe, who closed Saturday night with an unforgettable performance.
Despite the weekend’s challenging weather, the event saw a tremendous turnout, with audiences thrilled by some of the Isle of Wight’s finest musical talent.
The weekend raised nearly £400 on the night, with further pledges continuing to come in, underscoring the generosity of the local community.

Let’s not forget the amazing ladies from La Tease!

Hart: There is always a place for men to turn to when they need help
Karl Hart from Men Only IW said,
“Once again, the Isle of Wight has shown its remarkable community spirit. Despite the dreadful weather, people from across the Island came together to support a vital local cause.
“Men Only works with over 400 men each month, offering a warm, safe space for support, advice, and friendship.
“Events like this not only help us raise essential funds, but also highlight that there is always a place for men to turn to when they need help.
“On behalf of the entire team at Men Only IW, I want to express our deepest gratitude to Dan and Dave for their hard work pulling the weekend together, all the amazing bands who gave their time for free, the FuBar team, and all the amazing people who turned out for a weekend of outstanding entertainment.”
Looking ahead
The Steam Punkt Music Weekend was a resounding success, both as a celebration of local talent and a testament to the strength of the Isle of Wight’s community.
