Those following the case of the £500,000 sum paid in error by a council officer to a company which had gone bust six months beforehand continues on.
At the full council meeting on 19th November, it was revealed the recovery of £517,878 (inc VAT) paid to Pihl Ltd, the construction company who built Cowes Enterprise College and declared bankruptcy in August 2013, would be heard on 12th December.
However, Cllr Bacon confirmed to OnTheWight this week the hearing had been delayed.
He said,
“The Sheriff adjourned the case on the application of the other side who asked for time to rewrite their written case. The new date is 29th January.”
