As part of the Island-wide refurbishment of public loos, next month sees Ryde’s turn to cut the ribbon on some new-look public conveniences.
Toilets on Ryde Esplanade which have been closed over the winter, will be officially re-opened on 14 April following a major refurb.
The new loos will sport energy efficient lighting and natural ventilation, with new artwork brightening up the walls.
Natural ventilation! Doesn’t that mean opening a window?
Anyway, if you’d like to witness the official opening, Isle of Wight Council Cabinet member for Environment and Transport Edward Giles will be doing the honours at 10.30am on Wednesday 14 April.
