Police are making a renewed appeal for a teenager reported missing from the Isle of Wight.
Luke Jeremy Cowan, aged 17, of Chapel Street, Newport, has not been seen since last Tuesday (June 16, 2009).
The last confirmed sighting of Luke was on Tuesday, 16 June shortly after 3.00pm when he was seen on CCTV getting off a bus in Sandown High Street between the junctions of Avenue Road and Albert Road.
He had been seen on CCTV earlier, boarding a Southern Vectis service from Newport Bus Station at approximately 2.15pm on Tuesday, 16 June.
Luke is described as:

â— 6 ft 2 ins tall
â— Very short dark hair
â— Blue eyes
â— Freckles
â— Broad build
When he was last seen, Luke was wearing:
â— A light coloured T-shirt
â— White tracksuit trousers with pin stripes down the leg
â— Black Reebok trainers
â— A black rucksack on his back with a white ‘Timberland’ motif near the bottom of the rucksack
Luke’s disappearance is being described as “totally out-of-character” by his family.
Luke’s mother, Michelle Knight, said: “I’m really worried, the whole family loves him, and I wish he would come home.”
Detective Inspector Nick Heelan of Newport CID said: “Police are making enquiries with public transport operators, hotels and guest houses, social networking sites on the Internet, and people he might have met at the Isle of Wight Festival at Seaclose Park in Newport earlier this month.
“I would appeal to Luke or one of his friends to contact the police directly. We just need to know he is safe and well.”
