Following the update from the council earlier today relating to melting roads, about 20 minutes ago they issued the following ….
“There should be no need to ‘dust’ roads today. We will continue to monitor the weekend temperatures and take the necessary action. Details of any such actions will be given to local media.”
They may have spoken too soon, because about ten minutes later, someone has posted to the Emergency and Community Information for the IW on Facebook saying that the Blackwater Road (by Bardon Vectis) is now melting again.
