Wightlink Raiders can today confirm the signing of former Great Britain junior international Richard Bentham.
20 year old Bentham signs from EPL team Sheffield Steeldogs although he missed most of the early part of this season through injury.
Prior to that he iced in the ENL North for Blackburn Hawks where his stats over 4 seasons were 102 points from 73 games with 425 penalty minutes.
He also played 10 times for the GB Under 18’s in the World Junior Championships in 2007/2008.
Standing at 6’0 and weighing 182lbs Richard can play in defence or attack and will be a welcome addition to the Raiders roster as they challenge for honours this season.
He’s expected to make his debut this Saturday as the table topping Raiders entertain Milton Keynes Thunder at Ryde Arena.
