At the most recent branch meeting for RMT Ryde branch, it was unanimously voted for by members present to make a donation for the Ukrainian appeal.
Members voted to donate £500 towards this appeal.
Branch Secretary, Vinny Phillips, and retired member Brian Yemm attended the British Red Cross in Ryde to hand over a cheque to Barbara Moran the shop manager.
Branch secretary Vinny said that his branch were appalled by the atrocities affecting Ukraine, and that the branch were only too happy to make a donation to help.
The branch is now working with SWR to double the donation
