Culver Parade in Sandown took the force of the storm yesterday (Wednesday) the impact of which has led to the road being closed.
Staff at Island Roads have had a busy old couple of weeks, having to deal with countless incidents of flooding, fallen trees and now, masses of sand blown up off the beach.
Culver Parade will remain closed until around 5pm today in order to give staff time to clear the road of excess water and sand.
Island Roads also report a problem with flooding on Morton Common and are in the process of investigating.
