Esplanade will be closed from 2.30pm on Friday 25 April 2014 for the foreseeable future between 375 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road and the end of the highway 860 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road. There is no alternative route for traffic. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road due to a landslip. ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL
FOOTPATH CLOSURES
The following paths/areas will be closed in the interests of public/pedestrian safety in connection with the Isle of Wight Festival: Footpath N120 (from Island Harbour Marina to Seaclose Park access road (adjacent to Seaclose Park) will be closed to pedestrians from Thursday 28 May until the morning on Monday 22 June 2015. The Cycle track leading off path N120 to Medina High School and footpath N120 (between Jubilee Stores and Seaclose Park access road) will also be closed from Thursday 28 May until the morning on Monday 22 June 2015.
LAKE:
Ranalagh Road / Cliff Road / Cliff Path.
From 1200hrs on Friday 18 July 2014 for the foreseeable future the following roads / path will be closed to vehicular traffic: Cliff Road / Cliff Path will be closed from point 55 metres to the northwest of the junction with Ranalagh Road to point 185 metres to the south west of the junction with Cliff Gardens (the southern boundary of number 6). Ranalagh Road will also be closed from Cliff Road to a point 10 metres to the west of Cliff Road. During the period of closure there is no alternative route for vehicles. Mill Street will be closed from 9am on Monday 30 March until approx. 6pm on Friday 3 July 2015 between Old Westminster Lane and the end of the highway 35 metres to the Northwest. The closure is necessary for highway development works including the construction of a new junction onto Foxes Road by Aeropark Developments for Barrett Homes.

Public Footpath N120 will be closed to pedestrians from 6am on Friday 6 March until 6am on Sunday 6 September 2015 between; A point 474 metres north to a point 516 metres north of the northern boundary of Seaclose Recreation Ground and a point 585 metres north to a point 607 metres north of the northern boundary of Seaclose Recreation Ground. The diversion route for pedestrians is through adjacent woodland at each location. Local path closures are required in the interests of pedestrian safety whilst footbridges are closed at the Footbridge B319 at South Fairlee Farm and the Footbridge B318 at The Roundhouse. Queens Road, Newport Street, High Street, Union Street (Southern carriageway then northern carriageway will each be closed for a short period between 2.45pm and approx. 5pm on Saturday 27 June 2015to allow a mid-summer Mardi Grass Parade to pass by.
The procession is due to form up in Queens Road at 3pm and leave at 3.15pm. The procession is due to disband at the Esplanade opposite Quay Road car park at approximately 4.30pm hours and all roads should be reopened by 5pm. DIVERSION ROUTE: Through traffic will be diverted via: B3330 Alexandra Road, St Johns Hill, St Johns Road, Green Street, Argyll Street and Pellhurst Road. Local traffic diversions will be signposted. Motorists should note that additional traffic delays will occur in the Ryde area during the Parade. ST LAWRENCE:
A3055 Undercliff Drive will remain closed from St Catherine’s Road to Seven Sisters Road (Western Junction), between Barrington Lodge, near to the western junction with Seven Sisters Road and Mirables which is located about a mile towards Niton. Following significant ground movement in the area in early February 2014, Undercliff Drive has been physically closed between Mirables (in the west) and a point 560 metres to the West of Seven Sisters Road (in the east) for safety reasons. There is now no access for vehicles or pedestrians. A formal road and footpath closure will be in operation for the foreseeable future. Access to businesses and attractions in Undercliff Drive will be maintained.
During the period of closure the alternative route for traffic will be; Pedestrians; A3055 Undercliff Drive, Public Footpath V81, V77, NT28, NT29, NT30 and A3055 Undercliff Drive.
