Lower Road will be closed from 6pm on Friday 6 June 2014 until 6pm on Friday 27 June 2014 between Upper Road and a point 400 metres to the southwest of its junction with Upper Road. During the closure the alternative route for traffic will be; Upper Road, Well Lane and Lower Road. This closure is necessary to avoid danger traffic using the road due to a highway defect. Quay Lane will be closed from Thursday 5 June until Friday 25 July 2014 between High Street and a point 735 metres to the East of the junction with High Street. The closure is necessary for water main replacement works by Clancy Docwra for Southern Water.

Cliff Road / Cliff Path will be closed from 7pm on Sunday 5 January 2014 for foreseeable future between a point 30 metre to the North of Ranelagh Road to a point 95 metres to the South of Ranalegh Road (outside of number 6). During the period of closure the alternative route for traffic will be; Ranelagh Road, Currie Road and Cliff Road and Brinkcliff Gardens (located off Araluen Way). The closure is required due to land movement.

ST LAWRENCE:
A3055 Undercliff Drive will remain closed from St Catherine’s Road to Seven Sisters Road (Western Junction), between Barrington Lodge, near to the western junction with Seven Sisters Road and Mirables which is located about a mile towards Niton. Following significant ground movement in the area in early February 2014, Undercliff Drive has been physically closed between Mirables (in the west) and a point 560 metres to the West of Seven Sisters Road (in the east) for safety reasons. There is now no access for vehicles or pedestrians. The Isle of Wight Council, working with partner agencies including Island Roads and with support from the army, led an operation in February to help residents of nine properties in Undercliff Drive (in an area known as ‘Woodlands’) remove possessions from their homes after they were advised to leave for safety reasons. A formal road and footpath closure will be in operation from Saturday 15 February for the foreseeable future. Island Roads’ work in the road has been suspended and the road will remain closed until the ground has stabilised and further monitoring can be carried out to determine its future. Bath Road. A one way restriction will be in operation from La Falaise car Park to Belgrave Road between 9am on Tuesday 29 October 2013 until approx. late in 2013. The restriction is due to the reduction in road for the protection to masonry at retaining wall R1074 above a property called Seacourt.
