Regular readers will remember earlier in the year VB wrote about the excellent Wight Surf History project.
In January, an exhibition of Island surfing photos over the last 50 years went on display in Dimbola Lodge, later, moving down the road to Sandpipers Hotel for a permanent display.
Next came the great Wight Surf History, a place where you can learn all about the history of surfing on the Isle of Wight.
Now comes a whole evening of Island Surf Movies. Awesome.
Where and when
Taking place at the Sandpipers Hotel, Freshwater on Saturday 9th October at 7.30pm, the evening will feature new and old surf footage, including the Isle of Wight Surf Club movie made in the very early 1970s by Anne Macpherson.
If you have any surf movies of your own, take them along to the mobile cinema to be shown on the night.
Most formats will be catered for: Standard 8 and Super 8 Sound, VHS (full size and mini), Full and Mini DV tape and DVD disks!
