This weekend the cadet forces of the Isle of Wight are doing a Round the Island Cadet Relay to raise funds for Hounds for Heroes and The Royal British Legion.Hounds for Heroes provide specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled men and women of both the UK Armed Forces and Civilian Emergency Services.
The relay started at 7am this morning from East Cowes Floating Bridge and carries on throughout the day.
The Ventnor leg will start from Ventnor Esplanade, opposite The Mill Bay, at 3pm this afternoon, with the Army Cadets walking to Whale Chine.Â
