The crew of Ryde Inshore Rescue are recovering after an extremely busy summer which saw their incident numbers rise to 97 so far for 2011.
With summer only just past the team are now looking forward to the Autumn and working on fundraisers that can help recoup the thousands of pounds that have been spent on fuel over the past few months.
Christmas dinner and auction
The main fundraiser prior to Christmas will be the annual end of season dinner and auction.
The event, which has raised thousands over the last three years will be held on 18th November at the Appley Manor hotel. Tickets will be available from early October.
In the meantime the fundraising team at Ryde are looking for items that can be auctioned or raffled at the event.

This event has grown every year and the support we receive is fantastic.
This year we are looking for prizes with that Wow factor and are appealing to anyone who may wish to donate an item, or experience to get in touch!
