After many years of playing together, 2021 sees the first league and cup victory for Ryde Saints Under 16s football club.
After a semi-final win which went to penalties over WMB, a thrilling cup final win over Gurnard yesterday (Wednesday), ending 4-3.
After going one up with a goal by Dan Johnson, Gurnard equalised. Then it was 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 4-2 and then a penalty to make it 4-3.
Ryde Saints hung on during time added on for stoppages as players struggled with cramp.
An exciting match and double win for Ryde Saints. Well done everyone!

“Massive well done to all players, for whom this game is most likely their last game in youth football. We look forward to you all getting involved in senior football next season!
