Ryde School is the first independent school in the UK to offer the International Baccalaureate Careers Programme (IBCP) for the Sixth Form alongside the existing IB Diploma and A Level programmes.
Preparing for University or the world of work
Sixth Formers can choose a course that suits their talents and ambitions whilst preparing for University or the world of work.
Pupils on the IBCP study three academic subjects and follow a professional course in Marine Engineering, Finance or Outdoor Sports & Learning and can gain qualifications such as their Yacht Master alongside their course.
All pupils also benefit from an enrichment programme of courses that offer both extra academic and life skills.
Newly refurbished Sixth Form centre
With a newly refurbished Sixth Form centre, a new Sixth Form boarding house close to the school and two newly designed science labs, the Senior School is an exciting place to be.
Now also licensed to run the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme, the school hit the 100th expedition milestone this year with 50 pupils now on either bronze, silver or gold award programmes.
Onward journeys
Post school, pupils study at Oxbridge, Russell Group Universities and art colleges and music and drama schools here, in Europe and America. The wide breadth of courses chosen is testament to the way the school helps pupils achieve their individual talents and ambitions.
