Isle of Wight Pride, which was due to take place this coming weekend has been postponed until August due to the weather warning.
Organisers announced the postponement today (Thursday),
“It is with a heavy heart, we regret to announce Isle of Wight Pride, including the parade, will be postponed and not take place this weekend.
“With a yellow weather warning in place, we have taken this decision due to safety concerns.
“But never fear, Isle of Wight Pride will go ahead this year! We are working with supporters and sponsors to reschedule Pride weekend for 18/19/20 August (subject to licensing etc).
“We apologise for any inconvenience, but safety is of paramount importance.”
