Update 15.33: Following comments from readers here and on Twitter, we wrote to Sainsbury’s about their plans. The Hospice have just informed us that that proposed balloon release was cancelled and thanked readers for their comments.
Sainsbury’s Newport will be supporting the IW Hospice’s Go Yellow Day today (12th July) by having a ‘Releasing of Balloons Ceremony’ in aid of ‘lost loved ones’.
The balloon release takes place at Sainsbury’s at 2.30pm prompt.
Balloons will be available throughout the day at Sainsbury’s at £1 each with all proceeds go to the Hospice.
