Sandown Carnival have announced a re-scheduled date for their spectacular seafront fireworks display, postponed on New Year’s Day because of bad weather.
The event will take place on Easter Saturday 19th April at 8.30pm, re-named the Easter Fireworks Eggstravaganza.
There will be no entry fee but donations are invited via the website.
Sandown Carnival chair Paul Coueslant welcomed the new date,
“Thanks to the help and cooperation of Sandown Pier and the fireworks company, we’re delighted we’ve been able to re-arrange the display for another public holiday.
“It’s a really popular event, one of our highlights of the year, and can be seen from vantage points around the Bay as well as prime viewing locations along the town’s Esplanade.”
Sandown Carnival, founded in 1889, is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers and relies on public donations to stage its events.
