Sandown Carnival has been forced to postpone the town’s popular seafront fireworks display scheduled for this Wednesday 1st January at 6pm.
High winds forecast through the day will make it unsafe for the fireworks contractor to set up the display from the end of the pier.
The event will be rescheduled for later in 2025 and a new date announced in due course.
