After VB broke the news last week of the closure of Waterside Pool in Ryde, members of the public have been outraged.
A meeting has been called to discuss what action residents can take to help save the pool.
It’s thought that the pool will close before March 2011 with staff being mad redundant.
The closest pool for Ryde residents would then be Newport, causing major problems for those who use the pool on a regular basis, including the elderly and young.
If you’re interested in attending it takes place this coming Thursday (2nd Dec) at the Castle Hotel Ryde at 7.30pm.
Update: We’ve just heard that the meeting will now be held at the Waterside Cafe. Apparently the Ryde Castle were asking for too much money to have the meeting there.
