OnTheWight reader Jaymie Rigby has been in touch with details of something he found and would like to see returned to its rightful owners.
Jaymie was metal-detecting in Brook recently and came across a medal from The Royal Life Saving Society.
As you can see from the photo, it is slightly worn, but Jaymie was just able to make out on the back of the medal that it was awarded to a F (or R) Jameson in October 1934 (or 1924).
Can you help?
Jaymie has tried to contact the RLSS but not had a reply, so thought he would try the OnTheWight network.
Does anyone know an F (or R) Jameson F who may have been awarded the medal in the early 20s or 30s?
If you do, please get in touch as Jaymie is keen to ensure the medal is returned to the rightful owner.
