We hear that two new commissioners and a new chairman have now joined the Cowes Harbour Commission.
Following the departure of Jeremy Preston, who has served the Commission since 2001, Roger Mathias (pictured) now fills the role of Chairman of Cowes Harbour Commission (CHC).
Adrian Wilkins from the CHC Advisory Committee, and an independent on the Selection Committee, Judge John Wroath both take on the roles as commissioners.
Other changes
As well as the new appointments, Jeremy Lear, who had been co-opted since last September, was also selected to become a full Commissioner as well as Jeff Armitage, the Managing Director from GKNAerospace.
Annual public meeting
If you are a user of Cowes Harbour you might be interested to hear that the Annual public meeting takes place tomorrow.
As well as presenting its Annual Report and Accounts for last year, the commission will set out their plans for the forthcoming year, as well as provide an update on the Outer Harbour Project.
The meeting takes place tomorrow, Thursday 10th June, at 7pm at the Royal London Yacht Club, The Parade, Cowes.
