Red Funnel has stepped forward to offer their support for this year’s Shanklin Regatta.
The ferry operator who carries 3.4m passengers and 860,000 vehicles across the Solent each year has offered ferry travel for the stage truck that has been booked to host all of the Shanklin Regatta acts on this year.
Lyn Fleming Chair Lady says,
“This amazing support from Red Funnel to help support our event this year.
“Every year our very small team of volunteers are needing to put on a better show to attract the thousands of Islanders and visitors, who also book their holiday around our regatta, and to deliver a great free family fun day with very limited funds, and the funds available are getting less and less each year, but thankfully with the support from Red Funnel this has been a massive help.”

Shanklin Regatta returns on 8th August from 10.30am. So far the following have been confirmed.

- Shore Sports
- Magic Show
- Meet and greet living history station
- Meet our pirate captain and discover the real pirates of the Caribbean
- DJ / Event Host
- LIVE Dua Lipa tribute act
- Celena Sax – Sax Vocalist – Pop Rock Dance Anthems
The Grand Fire work display will round off a great day of events.
Join the team of volunteers
The Shanklin Regatta organising team are searching for people to join them and to help move the event forward.
There are a number of roles available:
- Manning road closures
- Providing information and directions to the public
- Reporting any issues to event lead
- Planning the event
