Readers may remember the report of a burglary to a family visiting the Island last month whilst staying in Seaview.
Disabled Staffordshire teenager, Shannon Winter, was left distraught when many of her precious belongings were stolen in the incident.
Her local paper, the Uttoxeter Advertiser, is today reporting that Shannon will soon be reunited with some of her belongings.
Her father told the paper that she is ‘over the moon’ to be told her treasured blue denim-type Prada bag with a Louis Vuitton key chain has been found.
Other items stolen last month included a Gucci purse, an iPod Shuffle with headphones, a Louis Vuitton black briefcase, a Lumix digital camera with family photographs on, a Louise Vuitton money clip, £380 cash, family cheque and deposit books, two mobile phones and a phone charger.
The family will be returning to the Island for the scooter rally later this month and will collect the items then.
Mr Winter said: “We will be getting the two bags back but none of the contents are in them and as yet we have no more information on the thieves but we know they are on remand.
