The organisers of the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race are delighted to announce a ninth and final Race Partner for the 2011 and 2012 Round the Island Races. Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) is the latest Race Partner to join the fold and, as ever, is being warmly welcomed by the Island Sailing Club, the Title Sponsor and the burgeoning family of Supporting Sponsors.
Everyone thrilled
Lea Bennett, ISC Secretary commented, “Everyone involved in this wonderful Race is thrilled to have all nine Race Supporters in place, in addition to our Title Sponsor, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, for the next two years. We are fortunate and proud to now have everything and everyone in place to host a truly magnificent event in this, our 80th Race year as well as in 2012, an especially important year for British sport and British sailing!”
Paul Kerr, CEO of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, is equally delighted with the Race partnership saying, “This is the very first time we have sponsored the event and we thought that the 80th Anniversary of the Race would be an excellent time to be involved in this fantastic tournament. We ourselves are celebrating an important milestone as it is SLH’s 20th Anniversary this year and we are extremely proud to be celebrating together.
“Personally, I am a keen yachtsman and take any opportunity I can to get out onto the open waters. Last year I competed in the Race and enjoyed it hugely – it is truly a great spectacle and one of the most exciting events in the worldwide sporting calendar. With 20 years of experience in seeing clients enjoy memorable adventures at each of our 520 luxury boutique hotels in more than 70 countries, we put emphasis on exceptional experiences and thrilling journeys, which this epic Race certainly lives up to! We wish all competitors the best of luck!”
The 80th Anniversary Race takes place on Saturday 25th June 2011 with the first start scheduled for 0600.
