The sounds of brass will ring out at four Island churches during the festive season thanks to Cowes Concert Band.
The band’s musical director, Andy Norman, said, “The distinct sound of a brass band is part of the Christmas tradition, mainly through the playing of carols. Our concerts will feature a mix of carols and other music with a Christmas theme which I’m sure the audiences will enjoy.”
The popular brass band will be performing Christmas-themed concerts at the following venues:
28 November – All Saints’ Church, Gurnard at 7.45pm;
5 December – Binstead Methodist Church at 8pm;
12 December – East Cowes Methodist Church at 8pm;
19 December – St Mary’s Church, Cowes, at 8pm (supported by Cowes Rotary).
