Richard Carter Readymix Concrete have become the latest Island company to sponsor the return of the exciting sport of Speedway to Ryde on the Isle of Wight.
The company which has been supplying concrete across the Island for over 30 years is based just outside Newport.
Martin Widman who has been managing the track and stadium refresh and upgrade said,
“We are delighted to welcome Richard Carter and his team to Island Speedway and the business club we’ve set up. Richard has been a long time supporter of speedway on the Island and we are very happy to be renewing the long relationship his company has had with the club over the years. We look forward to making the best use of Richard’s concrete to bring the stadium and surrounding areas back into full use and looking first class.”
Full steam ahead at Smallbrook
With a tight schedule for track work before the next official inspection by the Speedway authorities, it’s full steam ahead at Smallbrook and the promotion would like to thank the fans, sponsors and helpers who are really making a difference at the venue.
Encouraged and enthusiastic at the return of speedway, Richard Carter said,
“With the new ideas and the younger generation attracted, I’m sure it will be a big success for both Speedway and the Island.”
