The SQ2SQ 2008 team are group of firefighters who will be cycling from St Thomas’ Square in Newport to the Vatican Square in Italy this coming September. The purpose of their marathon cycle is to raise funds and awareness for the Wessex Cancer Trust.
Recently, John Giddings, the organiser and promoter of the Isle of Wight Festival donated a pair to Festival tickets to the group and they are today launching a prize draw that anyone can enter.
All you have to do is buy a prize draw ticket, which are priced at £2.50 each (in books of five tickets) and obviously all proceeds from the sale of the tickets will go to the Square to Square Charity Cycle Challenge Appeal 2008 for the diagnosis, treatment and care of cancer and leukemia patients.
We hear that the SQ2SQ Team and their supporters will be promoting and selling the prize draw tickets at various events and locations on the Island, but you can also buy the tickets via their website.
So get to it, it’s all in a good cause and you could end up watching some great bands play at Seaclose Park next week.
