It’s that time of year again, yes folk, the great St Catherine’s Summer Fair is almost upon us.
St Catherine’s is a national charity for children and young people with speech, language and communication impairments. The Summer Fair – hosted by the children, young people and staff team – is one of its’ largest fundraising events of the year.
This year the Fair is expected to be the best yet.
There’s a packed programme of activities during the day with many stalls offering plants, giftware, jewellery, refreshments and the children’s’ art and craftwork.
You can try your skill on splat the rat, guess where the Honey Monster’s honey pot is, join the teddy bears picnic or watch a dance display.

Fantastic prizes are on offer in the raffle and the auction includes a much-coveted Family Ticket to this year’s Bestival donated by Rob da Bank patron of St Catherine’s and a beautiful vase donated by of Isle of Wight Glass.
As Kim Fry, Community Fundraiser, explained “The Summer Fair is truly is a team effort. As well as an enjoyable day, it provides our learners the opportunity to gain confidence in speaking with people they do not necessarily know and as such is an important aspect of their social interaction development.”
The Fair is held within the school grounds in Grove Road in Ventnor and St Catherine’s is looking forward to welcoming everyone.
