Thanks to Susan for sending in the latest news from St Catherine’s school in Ventnor. Ed
St Catherine’s is the first charity on the Isle of Wight to join an award-winning fundraising scheme.
Shoppers can now save money and support children with speech, language and communication impairments!
St Catherine’s, a national charity and residential special school based in Ventnor, has signed-up to an online and in-store shopping scheme which was given top marks by the Institute of Fundraising in its Dragons’ Den for innovative fundraising initiatives.
Gift To Charity
The scheme is called Gift To Charity. It’s unique because shoppers earn free cashback for themselves and generate donations for their chosen charity every time they make a purchase.
Gift To Charity has a massive online shopping arcade with over 2,500 stores to choose from.
Supporters can also earn cashback when they shop in-store at eight High Street chains including Dorothy Perkins, Sports Direct, Halfords, Blockbuster, Cineworld and Little Chef.
100 partners and growing
The scheme – which is provided free to charities and the public – was launched eight months ago by Southampton company Gifting Solutions and already has nearly100 partner charities.
“We urge everyone who supports our work with speech, language and communication impaired children at St Catherine’s to use Gift To Charity for their online and in-store shopping – it’s money in their pockets and donations for us” says Susan Graves, Development Officer.
