St Catherine’s is seeking eager cyclists who want to take part in the first City to Solent Bike Ride Challenge on 26th September, to support children and young people with speech, language and communication disabilities.
The event will take participants from London to Portsmouth following an 85 mile route, with places filling up fast the charity anticipates 50 cyclists will take part in the fun-filled challenge.
Susan Graves, Development Officer said “St Catherine’s is looking to expand its service provision to enable it to work with more children and young people with communication disabilities. One in ten children (or 1.2 million) has a communication disability in the UK. How we communicate and interact with other people lies at the centre of our lives. Each cyclist who participates can be assured the money they raise will make a real difference to the services we provide and the children and young people we help”.
