Congratulations to the fourteen stand-up paddle-boarders (SUP) who completed their challenge for Children in Need yesterday.
The twelve men and two women fought their way through the incoming waves on Ventnor beach and once out on the sea, paddle-boarded all the way round to Sandown.
With a short refreshment break in Shanklin, they were met with more tricky waves to get to on Yaverland beach, but managed to complete the entire challenge in less than three hours.
Not only that, but their original target of raising £1,000 was completely smashed with over £2,000 raised by 8pm last night.
Excellent tilt shift video
There were several people taking shots (gallery to follow) and Jeremy Cangialosi (aka Wightpod) was shooting video. Not just standard video but ’tilt shift’ video which looks fantastic.
