The stormy weather is once again causing problems for those wishing to travel not only to and from the Isle of Wight, but also on the Island.
Floating Bridge
Due to flooding in East Cowes, Isle of Wight council announced earlier that,
At request of the police, Cowes floating bridge is not accepting vehicles for travel from West to East Cowes due to flooding in East Cowes.
Cowes floating bridge still operating for foot passengers in both directions and vehicles from East to West Cowes. Apologies for disruption.
Flood alert
The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the Eastern Yar. Low lying land and roads will be affected first. For information and advice, please call Floodline on 0845 988 1188.

We’ve also seen reports of flooding and surface water around the Island.

Wightlink Ferries
The Wightlink Yarmouth route and Catamaran have both been suspended due to adverse weather conditions, although the Fishbourne route is still operating.
Red Funnel
Red Funnel say that their car ferry service is still running, but experiencing delays due to the weather.
One of their high speed vessels is unable to run, but the other, Red Jet 4 will continue to operate the regular timetable departing Southampton at XX45 and Cowes XX15.
Hover
The Hovertravel service was suspended earlier this morning and has not yet been reinstated.
