Thruxton, Tuesday 2nd June
On Tuesday 2nd June, three members of the Wightlink-LCM Systems Cycle Race Team travelled to Thruxton Motor Circuit to take part in the third category circuit race.
Matthew Allsopp, Ian Hayden and Stu Waite were soon at the front of the race controlling the pace and chasing any attempting breaks.
This continued for the whole race until the last lap where Hayden put in a huge effort on the front to give Waite and Allsopp a solid lead out.
This strong teamwork put the Wightlink-LCM Systems Cycle Race Team riders in the front and in great position for the finish, where Waite sprinted to second place and Allsopp took seventh.
