Using the full potential of the Academy’s new building for the first time, over 1,000 students and staff were able to join together in an act of remembrance on the morning of 11th November 2015.

Led by members of the Academy’s Combined Cadet Force, students participated in with exceptional conduct as poems written by students were read.

Last post was played from the balcony by two Year 9 students and the two minutes of silence were absolute until broken by the trumpets sounding Reveille.

A final blessing was given by the Vicar of Cowes and students were dismissed past an installation artwork containing poppies made by hundreds of students and staff from the academy.

It proved a poignant and moving tribute to the fallen and powerful reflection on the costs of conflict.
